CDM Electronics names Value-Added Product Specialist

CDM Electronics, Inc., a leading distributor of commercial and military (MIL-SPEC) interconnect products, and premier provider of value-added contract manufacturing services, announced the promotion of Lemuel “Lem” Agustin from international sales representative to the newly created position of value-added product specialist. The announcement was made by Carmen DeLeo, Jr., general manager of CDM, and to whom Mr. Agustin directly reports. “As the demand for CDM’s contract manufacturing and custom design and assembly services continued to escalate at a rapid pace, we knew we needed to identify an individual whose qualifications included interconnect product engineering together with manufacturing expertise to oversee this vital aspect of our business,” said Mr. DeLeo, Jr. “Promoting Lem to this strategic role was a logical step, and we’re confident that he will play an integral role in the expansion of CDM’s value-added service offerings.” In his new position, Mr. Agustin’s responsibilities include interfacing with customers and prospects on technical matters pertaining to all aspects of cable assembly and wire harness design and development, as well as overseeing product support and training initiatives. He has moreover been charged with focusing on assembly design challenges frequently associated with RF flexible and semi-rigid cable assemblies for mission-critical employment in such applications as military/aerospace, medical, telecommunications, wireless, computer and varied industrial sectors. Additionally, Mr. Agustin will work closely with CDM’s management team to optimize opportunities within sales, marketing, and quality departments. A native of the Philippines, Mr. Agustin is a graduate of Don Bosco Technical College, and hold a B. S. in Electrical Engineering. He joined CDM in 2004.
